Ulrik Wisløf (born 12 July 1968) is a Norwegian professor of physiology at the Department of Circulation and Medical Imaging at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway.
He is Head of the K.G.
Jebsen Center of Exercise in Medicine (the Cardiac Exercise Research Group/CERG).
His research and research group tries to find out how physical activity and exercise training can be used as medicine, and they are especially looking at the effects physical exercise have on heart, blood vessels and skeletal muscles to prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases.
Wisløff has also done research on football physiology, and he is responsible for the research on physical training for the Norwegian Center of Football Excellence.
He has received international awards for his science.
