About Vincent Bladen

  • Vincent Wheeler Bladen, (14 August 1900 – 6 November 1981) was a British-Canadian economist and academic. A Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Toronto, in 1960, he was appointed Chairman of the Royal Commission on the Automotive Industry which helped to create the Canadian-American Automotive Agreement. In 1974, his book From Adam Smith to Maynard Keynes : the heritage of political economy was published. In 1976, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada, Canada's highest civilian honor.
