About Walter Fondren
- Walter William Fondren III (April 29, 1936 – January 28, 2010) was an all-conference football player and conservation activist.
- He played halfback, quarterback and punter for the Texas Longhorns from 1955 to 1957 and was the first starting quarterback for Darrell Royal.
