About Wendell Mitchell Latimer
- Wendell Mitchell Latimer (April 22, 1893 – July 6, 1955) was a prominent chemist notable for his description of oxidation states in his book "The Oxidation States of the Elements and Their Potentials in Aqueous Solution" (ASIN B000GRXLSA, first published 1938). He received his Ph.D from the University of California, Berkeley for the work with George Ernest Gibson. He earned many awards and honors for his scientific work.
