- William James Young (September 9, 1881 – December 5, 1957) was the head coach for the William & Mary Tribe men's basketball team from 1911 to 1913.
- He led the Tribe to a 10–6 record during his two-year tenure.
- Young was also the head coach of William & Mary's football team for two seasons, 1911 and 1912.
- He went 1–12–2 during that time.
- Young went on to serve as athletics director at the University of Maine in 1917.
