- Lemnios (born February 21, 1955) is an American scientist who formerly held the post of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (ASD(R&E)), which used to be known as Director, Defense Research and Engineering (DDR&E), in the United States Government.
- He was confirmed by the United States Senate on June 19, 2009, and sworn in as on July 2, 2009.On November 20, 2012 he was reported to have submitted his resignation letter to President Obama.
- On November 30, 2012 he left the Pentagon and joined IBM.
