  • He is a "conservative socialist" exponent of Xi Jinping Thought and opposed to liberalism in China.
  • Jiang previously worked at the Hong Kong Liaison Office from 2004 to 2008, and has advised the Chinese government on Hong Kong on subsequent occasions.
