Annemarie Kleinert-Ludwig (born 1 February 1947, Geseke) is a German Doctor of Philosophy who did research and taught history at the
Free University of Berlin, Leibniz University Hannover, and the University of California, San Diego.
Presently she works as a free-lance writer.
Her first book dealt with the history of French women's magazines in the 18th and 19th centuries, up to 1848.
It was the first of its kind.
The second book was a biography of the famous primaballerina Eva Evdokimova, who died in 2009.
A recent book presents the history of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra during its most exciting period, from the conductors Herbert von Karajan to Sir Simon Rattle.
The book has appeared also in German and Japanese.
