Carlos Paredes, ComSE, (Portuguese pronunciation: ['ka?lu? p?'?ed??]; 16 February 1925 – 23 July 2004) was a virtuoso Portuguese guitar player and composer, born in Coimbra.
The son of the equally famous guitarist Artur Paredes, he is credited for popularising the Portuguese guitar to an international audience.
