- Tamilselvan, (sometimes transcribed as "Tamilchelvan"), was the leader of the political wing of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, an organisation fighting for a separate state for the ethnic Tamil minority in northern Sri Lanka from majority Sinhalese government.
