ValentÃn Fuster Carulla (born January 20, 1943) is a Spanish-American cardiologist.He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC), past President of the American Heart Association, past President of the World Heart Federation, and has been a member of the US National Academy of Medicine.In the United States, Fuster serves as Director of Mount Sinai Heart and Physician-in-Chief of The Mount Sinai Hospital, and Director of the Zena and Michael A.
Kravis Center for Cardiovascular Health, and the Richard Gorlin, MD/Heart Research Foundation Professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.In his native Spain, he serves as the General Director of the National Centre for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC) in Madrid, and also chairs an international project, the SHE Foundation (Science for Health and Education).
