Christopher Henry Smith (born March 4, 1953) is an American politician currently serving in his 20th term as the U.S.
Representative for New Jersey's 4th congressional district, having served since 1981.
The district includes portions of Mercer, Monmouth, and Ocean counties.
He is a member of the Republican Party.
Smith has been nominated and confirmed twice to serve as a member of the United States delegation to the United Nations General Assembly.
